CERCOL has constantly pursued to progressively eliminate hazardous substances in or emitted by the products during laying or use (e.g. VOC and SVHC) while keeping their quality and durability unaltered, with a commitment to replace any hazardous substances present in the formulations of its products.
The result of this effort is CERCOL's full range of products with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC).
The company's commitment in this regard is in fact witnessed by the adhesion, since 2005, to the GEV, the German association for the emission control of products for flooring, adhesives and building materials and creator of the EMICODE brand, which certifies in a neutral way and non-competitive building products by classifying them based on their VOC emissions. This certification is therefore a guarantee of quality and protection of health in indoor environments.
Using low VOC materials in the design and renovation helps not only preserve the quality of indoor air but also ensure an adequate level of living comfort in terms of odours.
Certified products with low VOC emissions are odourless once they have hardened and, even during the application phase, they do not show any particular unpleasant odours that might generate disturbances and stress on people.
In particular, CERCOL boasted nearly 42 GEV licences in 2018, providing its customers with a rich portfolio of products certified EMICODE EC1 (with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds) and EMICODE EC1PLUS (with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds - PLUS).
